This painting recalls the practice of sketching, from different angles, the subject of an intended statue or bust. The technique allowed for complete three-dimensional familiarity with the subject. Robinson adapts the practice with views revolving around an introspective study. Like different representatives of his identity, multiple Robinsons meet to reach an agreement. They are portrayed in identical business suits, the stars on their ties hinting at the metaphysical nature of their commerce.
