The Bird

The Bird have established a solid reputation as one of Australia’s finest live electronic dance outfits, and in the studio have continued to push musical boundaries. Simon Durrington (keyboards) and Ben Walsh (drums) are joined by a collective of some of this country’s finest artists, and have played festivals around the world including the Glastonbury Festival, Livid, the Falls Festival, and the Woodford Folk Festival. As musicians, The Bird have sought an organic interpretation of computer-generated forms of music, combining live drum ’n’ bass, breakbeats and electro synth lines with sounds from the Asian underground, and some serious dub vibes. The Bird will play at 8.20pm with Cicada.
