Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of Mrs Win Schubert, through the Josephine Ulrick
and Win Schubert Diversity Foundation and with the assistance of the Queensland Art
Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art Foundation, the epic installation
Heritage
2013 has been
acquired for the Collection.
This is just one of many tremendous acts of benefaction this year. I take this opportunity
to sincerely thank the QAGOMA Foundation for the vital role it has played in supporting
the Collection’s development as well as our exhibitions and programs. I also make special
mention of those who gave so generously to the Foundation Appeal, which this year
successfully raised funds to complete the Gallery’s set of Albrecht Dürer’s
The Apocalypse
1496–98. Foundation President Tim Fairfax,
AC
, is a visionary philanthropist and it has been a
privilege to work so closely with him and the Foundation Committee. The Tim Fairfax Family
Foundation is our greatest supporter of children’s programming, and with its remarkable
support we have been able to extend both the quality and the reach of our offerings for
children and families across Queensland this year.
Corporate sponsors also provide crucial support, which helps us to present a diverse range
of world-class exhibitions and programs to our audiences. I gratefully acknowledge all our
sponsors throughout 2013 and make special mention of our leading corporate partners,
Santos GLNG, Glencore, Audi, Yering Station and Virgin Australia.
