celebrates the diversity, energy and
innovation evident in the work of
contemporary australian women artists.
For this second in the gallery’s triennial
series of shows dedicated to contemporary
australian art, the focus is on the ways
women have enlarged the scope of
australian art; as an assertion of new
possibilities for the future.
presenting work by more than 30 artists
spanning sculpture, painting, installation,
photography, film, video and performance,
this major exhibition will take place
across the entire ground floor of goma
and the children’s art centre. critical,
provocative, unexpected and illuminating,
‘contemporary australia: women’ is certain
to be a landmark event.
