this exhibition honoured James c sourris’s
sustained and generous support of the
gallery and highlighted the vital role
benefaction plays in the development of the
gallery’s collection.
Featuring paintings, videos, installations and
works on paper, the exhibition included works
by both indigenous and non-indigenous
artists — all of which were acquired with
sourris's support, and which either had been
gifted or have been promised as gifts for the
gallery's australian art collection.
