the drawing room — a key component of
‘matisse: drawing life’ — was designed to
invite visitors to creatively explore the act
of drawing,
the space was inspired by some of the
objects, themes and ideas that played a
crucial role in the development of matisse’s
own art. three thematic areas were
established using selected items and
works from the gallery’s collection.
