regional audiences were invited to fine
tune their photography skills in a hands-on
workshop with Queensland photographers
rod buchholz and peter liddy as part of the
xstrata coal Queensland artists’ gallery
program (see page 84). participants in
dalby, wandoan, miles, bowen, collinsville,
glenden, mackay, rolleston, springsure
and emerald were guided through the basic
functions of their cameras and instructed in
the best ways to capture still-life images, as
well as landscape and portrait photographs.
through its unique partnership with xstrata
coal, the gallery ensures the work of
Queensland artists is made more accessible
to regional audiences.
