kids’ APT7
The kids had a fantastic time at GOMA and Kids’ APT7, and loved all
of the interactive activities, especially seeing themselves in the photos!
Visitor comment
For Kids’ APT7, the Children’s Art
Centre presented 13 interactive art
works by exhibiting artists Daniel
Boyd, Tiffany Chung, Parastou
Forouhar, Uji Handoko Eko Saputro
(aka Hahan), Roslisham Ismail (aka
Ise), Takahiro Iwasaki, Kwoma Arts,
Richard Maloy, Erbossyn Meldibekov,
Paramodel, Tromarama and Te Wei
especially for children and families.
Offering a rich participatory
experience and curated to reflect the
themes of the exhibition, Kids’ APT7
provided meaningful insights into the
contemporary art of Asia and the
Pacific region.
Pong Pongan the hermit crab, the
Kids’ APT7 mascot created by
Indonesian artist Uji Handoko Eko
Saputro (aka Hahan), guided children
through the exhibition via wall labels,
while Hahan also collaborated on
Hahan and Friends
, the first children’s
publication to focus on the work of
a single artist. For more information
on this publication, see page 55.
Queensland families participated
in Kids’ APT7 on Tour in early 2013
(January to April) at 79 regional
venues.
Kids’ APT7 was supported by the
