Sadie Benning: Bedroom Eyes

A retrospective program of videos by acclaimed American artist
Sadie Benning who at the age of 16 began making intensely
autobiographical videos about her experience of growing up in the
Midwestern city of Milwaukee. Three of Benning’s videos were also
included in the exhibition ‘Earth and Elsewhere: Contemporary
Works from the Collection’.

Presented in conjunction with ‘Earth and Elsewhere: Contemporary
Works from the Collection’, a retrospective of the works of
acclaimed Chilean documentary filmmaker Patricio Guzmán.
Guzmán asserted ‘a country without documentary film is like a
family without a photo album’ and has spent his career creating
films that explore the modern history of Chile.

most prestigious accolade for excellence in film in Asia, the Pacific
and Australia. In collaboration with APSA, QAGOMA’s Australian
